Biostatistics
Faculty experts in both theoretical and applied biostatistics collaborate and consult on research projects and initiatives throughout the Department as well as the School of Medicine at large, in addition to pursuit of their own research agendas and participation in curricular instruction. These faculty members also have appointments in Family and Preventive Medicine. Design and methodology of single-site and complex large-scale multisite clinical trials are paramount interests. Nonparametric and semi-parametric regression and resampling, survival analysis and goodness-of-fit tests, and longitudinal analysis and mixed-effects modeling are specialty practice areas. By hallmark, adaptation and innovation rule in meeting the statistical needs of treatment teams and project investigators.
